How do I add or rebind a Passkey?

Add a new Passkey, rebind one linked before the 18 August 2026 upgrade, and understand the security restrictions shown during setup.

Add a new Passkey for supported device-based sign-in, or rebind one linked before the 18 August 2026 authorization-centre upgrade.

What changed on 18 August 2026?

FXTRADING.com upgraded PC Web third-party sign-in and Passkey binding to use a unified authorization centre. Passkeys linked before the upgrade no longer work with FXTRADING.com. This applies to customers using China-region and international domains.

This does not necessarily mean that the Passkey was deleted from your device. Sign in using another method currently offered on the official sign-in page, then add a new Passkey.

How do I add or rebind a Passkey?

  1. Sign in to the Client Portal using another sign-in method currently offered.

  2. Open Security from the left navigation.

  3. Under Two-factor authentication (2FA), find Passkey management and select Manage.

  4. Select Add Passkey.

  5. Enter a name that helps you identify the Passkey.

  6. Read and confirm the security notice shown.

  7. Follow the device or browser instructions until the Client Portal confirms that the Passkey was added.

Security notice: The Client Portal shows how long withdrawals and external transfers will be unavailable after you add or update a Passkey. Read the displayed period before confirming; do not assume a fixed duration.

What can I use the new Passkey for?

A newly added Passkey can be used for sign-in. It may also be offered for two-factor authentication when that option is enabled for your profile and the current flow displays it.

The old Passkey is not found, or the new Passkey fails

  • If the Passkey was linked before 18 August 2026, use another sign-in method currently shown and add a new Passkey. Do not reset a working password merely because the old Passkey is not found.

  • Read the exact message and confirm that the current device and browser support Passkeys.

  • Complete or cancel any other Passkey request already open before trying once more.

If the problem continues after you are signed in, open Client Portal → Service Hub → Create Ticket → Account and Security → Change security type → 2FA Method Update. Include the exact message, date and time with time zone, device and browser, and a screenshot with unrelated personal information hidden. Track the request in My support tickets.

If you cannot sign in to the Client Portal at all, use official Live Chat. If you did not initiate a Passkey change or suspect unauthorised activity, stop retrying and use the approved security route immediately.
